Breathwork In The Workplace

Breath is one of the most automatic acts we do, yet we pay so little attention to it.

Some of us might have even noticed just how the breath changes according to what we feel and experience: it’ll be short and shallow when we’re stressed, and deeper when we feel relaxed. Our breath is directly connected and related to everything we go through in life. It’s a reflection, kind of like our own natural seismograph. It changes when we laugh, yell, gasp, yawn or cry.

That doesn’t mean this is a one-way street. Because, just as the breath changes according to our experience, we can change our experience using our breath!

When we talk about workplace wellness - this is revolutionary!

There’s a lot that we don’t know about the breath, but from what we do know - it is a powerful and effective way to access the mind. Scientific research indicates that breath is potentially the secret to better health and a more peaceful and productive mind.

The pressures and stresses that might arise in our work, whatever they may be, could cost us and the workplace a great deal. The issues can vary from low productivity, lack of motivation to low morale and depression.

The benefits of breathwork in the workplace are numerous, to name a few:

  • Releasing stress and negativity
  • An excellent activity for team-building
  • Increase productivity
  • Boost morale and motivation
  • Safe space to regulate strong emotions like anger, anxiety or fear
  • Decrease anxiety and depression and increase happiness and optimism
  • Improve sleep
  • Enhance clarity, focus and creativity

Our modern way of living challenges all of us in every facet of our lives. This includes the workplace. Every workplace is a collection of individuals brought together for a specific mission or goal. Naturally, this puts the need to create a productive and constructive atmosphere at high importance.

Enabling a safe space for workers to come and release some of the pressure and tensions, is a golden opportunity to bring positive change to the culture, build trust, take care of workers wellbeing and boost morale and motivation.

It all starts with the breath, and it all starts now. Contact me for further information about setting up workplace breathwork workshops.
